Ingredients
- Lamb Shoulder Chops
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 onions, peeled and sliced
Method
- Combine the honey, soy sauce, and olive oil.
- Place the lamb chops in a large bowl, and rub with the honey, soy sauce, and olive oil mixture.
- Marinate in the fridge for 2 hours
- Preheat the oven to 180°C
- Fry the onions
- Place the lamb chops in a roasting pan, and pour the sauce over them. Scatter the fried onions over the lamb chops.
- Cover with tin foil and bake in the oven for 40 minutes, then uncover and bake for a further ten minutes, basting the chops with the sauce when needed.
- If the sauce isn’t thick, mix a cup of cold water and a teaspoon of cornflour in a small pot. Add the sauce to the cornflour, gently heating it and stirring all the time, until the sauce has reached the desired consistency.
