Hi everyone, just wanted to share this update on thoughts which I have in mind for The Upper Hutt Connection.

As you might have noticed, I have recently included an article about a new GP which is soon to open up in Lower Hutt, and a Tai Chi class which operates at the Belmont hall. I’ve been getting requests lately to put up articles and events which are happening in Lower Hutt, which got me thinking that Lower Hutt might not have its own local paper anymore – I know that the Hutt News no longer exists, but does Lower Hutt no longer have an online newspaper now either?

Considering that this is the case, and that probably a fair few of those who sign up for the Wednesday Edition and those who follow on Facebook live in Lower Hutt themselves – I’m considering extending The Upper Hutt Connection to cover Lower Hutt news as well, and rebranding The Upper Hutt Connection as The Hutt Valley Connection (meaning it can cover both Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt). This will require a couple of actions, including establishing a new Facebook page – as I can’t just rename The Upper Hutt Connection’s page – a whole new Facebook page will have to be established, and I’ll also redesign the masthead – renaming it, and also including an image of Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt in there representing covering both cities.

These are my thoughts at the present time. I’ve left this article open for comments so feel free to leave them in the comments section below.
