The mother of Luke Smith is demanding that the New Zealand government helps pay for their travel and Luke’s burial in South Africa. She claims that they were sold a dream that New Zealand is a safe country and then this happens.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade say that repatriation is a matter for the South African High Commission.
