Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that I’ll no longer be promoting films rated TBC at Monterey Cinemas. I’d feel partly responsible if anyone went to see a film after having seen it advertised on The Upper Hutt Connection, not being aware of the content in it, and then finding out that it was potentially something that they didn’t want to see. A link is now provided leading to Monterey Cinema’s website if you want to see all the films which are showing, regardless of their rating.

I do my research when a film does have a To Be Confirmed (TBC) rating, usually checking the New Zealand Film Classification website, Event Cinemas, Hoyts, and Lighthouse Cinema websites to see if they have any actual rating for the film. I also check IMDB (International Movie Database) as well, as they have a film advisory page for the films on the site.

If I do find a rating on these sites, then I use this instead of TBC.
