Weekend Results Wrap

A tough weekend across the board, but there were moments to be proud of. Here’s how our teams got on.

Senior Men

Men’s 1sts opened the scoring against Olympic and held firm at half-time, but couldn’t hold on in the second half. A battling performance, and we go again.

Reserves had a difficult afternoon against a strong Olympic side.

3rds went close in a tight contest against Island Bay Alts.

RJ’s had a tough outing against Tawa Bears.

Masters

Tin-Men and Antiques both went close but couldn’t quite get the result.

Marauders were the standout of the weekend, coming home strong to take the bragging rights in the local O45 home derby. Well done lads.

Women’s

Women’s 1sts showed real character, fighting back with some great late goals to secure a well-deserved point against Western Suburbs.

Reserves went down to Wellington United, but the scoreline doesn’t tell the full story. Connie pulled one back with a beautiful goal and there’s plenty to build on.

3rds battled hard against a strong BNU side, with a special mention to Abbie who stepped up and played her first ever game of football on Sunday. That’s what this club is about.

Youth Development

U14 TDP picked up a solid win over Island Bay.

U15 Girls CDL and U15 TDP both had tough days out.

U17 TDP earned a well-fought draw with Petone to round out the weekend.

Results aren’t always going to go our way, but we keep showing up, keep supporting each other, and keep building. See everyone on the training ground this week.
