The club is saddened to hear the passing of one of our members – Lesley Daunt on 06/01/2025 after a long tussle with cancer. The club and management committee extends our commiserations to Lesley’s family.

Lesley was one of the original Upper Hutt Women’s team member when they started in 1994/95 season and played up until last year.

With a softball background she was a good bet with the bat and very handy in the outfield. Off the field she was chief fundraiser manning a sausage sizzle on Saturday mornings outside the clubrooms in the summer, played host to a number of pre-match bbq’s, rocking up to games on her bike (which was then used by everyone else to get to the loo) and then, when playing got too much she was our number one supporter joining us at the games to enjoy the sun and then the clubrooms for a beverage.

She will be dearly missed by the T20 Women’s team and there won’t be a match where she isn’t remembered.
