Cricket Weekend Review: Sam Morgan sets UHUCC’s highest score at 226, and Premiere Men’s holds the Cook Shield

A massive weekend for the club and one of our favourite club members – Sam Morgan. Sam scored the highest score for UHUCC at 226* against Eastern Suburbs in the first 2 day round. Sam went past the previous record of 224 held by Callum McLachlan. Sam only faced a 162 balls and his knock included 24*4s and 8*6s. We are extremely proud of Sam’s efforts and we wish him the best as he pushes for higher honours.

To top it off, our premier men’s team won the game outright courtesy of a 5fer by Lachie Bailey and now are proud holders of the COOK SHIELD. This is the first time our club has held the shield and will be on the line for our 2 remaining home two games this season. Well done to all the players and support staff involved!
