Hutt City Council Administrator/Volunteer of the Year 2024. Tim Homan, the heartbeat of the Upper Hutt Rams, embodies the spirit of leadership and dedication within our club community.

As the club captain, Tim’s role extends far beyond the field, as he tirelessly manages the administration and coordination of our teams, despite the absence of physical club facilities. In the absence of a central meeting place, Tim has fostered a sense of unity across senior and junior rugby, as well as senior netball, nurturing relationships with life members and supporters alike.

Leading from the front, Tim ensures that every initiative is executed seamlessly, attending nearly every training session to disseminate important information traditionally conveyed through noticeboards. Beyond his on-field responsibilities, Tim has undertaken additional tasks to alleviate financial strain on the club, including laundering kits and securing sponsorships, despite limited avenues for advertisement.

Tim’s unwavering commitment has made him the lynchpin of our club community, and his absence would be keenly felt. His leadership, ingenuity, and selfless dedication epitomize the essence of volunteerism and sportsmanship, making him a cornerstone of the Upper Hutt Rams.
