Upper Hutt Petanque Club held its 2025 Club Doubles Championship on a cool and mostly dry Sunday the 26th October 2025. 16 members (8 teams) took part in 4 random qualifying rounds, followed by the top 4 playing a semi-final round, and ending with a final for the top 2.

After the qualifying, the ranking was as shown below. The top 4 went into semi-finals, and the final playoff was between Julian/Peter and Geoff/Linda, with Geoff and Linda winning the final and taking the trophy. They make a great team!

Well done to all the players, especially the finalists, and thanks to all the spectators and helpers.

Geoff and Linda Brown will now represent UHPC at the Champion of Champions tournament on 13th December, to be held in Palmerston North, where the club champions from all the clubs in the Wellington region battle over the trophy.
