On the opening weekend of Junior hockey starting it was only fitting that we acknowledge our amazing Junior convenors, who both play in our open grade teams.

Karen Gooding this weekend is playing her 225th game for Upper Hutt Hockey Club. Karen plays in our Reserve women’s team, is a dedicated committee member and is one part to the dynamic duo that runs our Junior Club. Karen is always full of energy and the love and kindness she brings especially to our Juniors is unmatched. Rain or shine, you will always find Karen as the hockey turf, either coaching Juniors, supporting her family or playing.

Raphael Coulon aka Aunty Raph is playing his 219th game this weekend for Upper Hutt Hockey Club. Raph plays in our Accountants Plus Upper Hutt Premier Four Men’s team and makes a special guest appearance playing for our Premier Two Men every now and then. Raph coaches our Prem 2 men, Prem 4 men, a player, a dedicated committee member and the second part to the dynamic duo for our Junior Club. Raph gives everything to UHHC, and will always offer his time, support or advice.

Karen and Raph, we are soo thankful for everything you do for our club as a whole !
