Opening weekend for women’s football was full of excitement, thrills and mostly our women’s players having fun.

Having our newly formed Women’s 3rds team play at home against @vuwafc_units whilst we came away with the loss of 4-0, there was a lot of learnings for our team who played together for the first time today!

The Monarchs played a great game against the new to Div 4 Wainuiomata AFC Women’s team. With our ladies scoring the early 2 opening goals it was looking up, however with many goals on both sides Wainui pushed on to win the game 7-4!
