A special day at Te Kupenga o Rongomai Maidstone Sports Hub last Friday!

We officially opened The Wayne Guppy Stand!

We were joined by the RT Hon Chris Hipkins MP and the Hon Chris Bishop, Hurricanes Rugby Club Chair Malcolm Gillies, Rams Rugby Club, Wellington Rugby Union, community leaders, and the whānau and friends of Wayne.

And, of course, Wayne Guppy himself was there to see the stand officially opened!

It was a fantastic morning surrounded by so many of the people and organisations who have been part of Wayne’s journey and his contribution to our city and rugby.

Congratulations, Wayne, this is a fitting way to recognise your years of dedication to Upper Hutt and the community.
