Football results for the weekend: Saturday 25th of July / Sunday 26th of July

A big weekend across the club, with plenty to be proud of. Here’s how our teams got on:

Senior Men

No games for the 1st or Reserves this weekend due to the Chatham Cup round.

3rds fought hard in a local derby, coming away with a draw against Lower Hutt City Reserves and retaining the Sue Watson Cup for another year. That one means something.

RJ’s put in a strong performance to take the win against Miramar.

Masters

The Tin-Men went down to Petone. The Antiques were in dominant form, taking care of Karori. The Saints had a bye, and the Marauders lost a tight one to North Wellington.

Women’s

The Prems lost to North Wellington, but the second half told a different story. Down 3-0 at the break, the girls came out and won the half. Jade Wood got on the scoresheet and Quinn Mellors impressed on her first appearance for the Prems. Encouraging signs.

Reserves went down to Stokes Valley, but the scoreline didn’t do them justice. Chances were there, and the effort throughout was clear to see.

Youth Development

U14 TDP went down to Petone. U15 Girls CDL lost to Onslow/North Wellington, but those numbers don’t reflect what the girls put in on the pitch. Real effort from a young group still finding their feet.

On the positive side, U15 TDP were outstanding against Lower Hutt, and U17 picked up a solid win against Karori.

Good things happening across the club. See you on the pitch next weekend
