Are you passionate about arts and culture in the community? Would you like to help decide how Creative Communities Scheme (CCS) funding is distributed in Upper Hutt?
We’re looking for two new members to join our Creative Communities Scheme Assessment Panel as community representatives.
About the role
You will be assessing creative project applications for the Upper Hutt community and helping to decide how to allocate the funds that the Council receives from Creative New Zealand.
There are two allocation meetings per year; the meetings for 2026 will occur in May and November. Full induction will be provided.
This is a volunteer role (3 years); however, you will receive a fee for attending each of the allocation meetings.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- a strong passion for seeing arts and culture thrive in the community;
- a good understanding of Upper Hutt’s local community arts and cultural environment; and
- an ability to work collaboratively with the assessment panel and community groups.
