Maidstone’s ākonga took part in the Toa Whakaihuwaka sports festival, here are the details:

• Boys Basketball: Regional Champions! Awesome mahi, boys!
• Girls Netball: Fought hard and lost a nail-biting final in overtime — outstanding effort!
• Rugby 7’s: 7th place — strong mahi and great spirit on display!
• Girls Basketball: 3rd place — awesome teamwork and energy!
• Boys Football: 8th place — great perseverance throughout!

At a Halloween-Themed assembly some of the ākonga shared some creepy Halloween facts through their inquiry presentations, as well as a Halloween poem.

And Maidstone’s PTK tamariki went out on the water in Porirua for their waka ama session.
