Maidstone Intermediate won the Rope and Ball Game prize draw from the recent Outclass Outdoor Learning Environments survey. The Akatarawa rōpū had their camp in the South Island, activities included archery, waterslides, rock climbing, go-karts, zip-lining, among other things.

On Thursday Maidstone hosted a rōpū of tumuaki from Tāmaki Makaurau. They were interested in what Maidstone Intermediate offered to its ākonga in regards to enrichments and opportunities – why Intermediates are great!

And the assembly was full of culture, celebration, and talent when the Pasifika group treated the rest of the school to a powerful performance as they geared up for Wednesday’s Intermediate Pasifika event. We also shared the story of our beautiful pou with the kura, reminding us of our identity and connection. And to top it off, we even saw some slick K-Pop moves on stage!
