Sweet and sour sausages

Ingredients

  • 500g sausages (of your choosing)
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 4 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 450g tinned pineapple pieces (of your choosing)

Method

  1. Slice the sausages and fry them in a large frying pan on a medium / high heat until they are cooked through (check after ten minutes by cutting one open, if there is no redness/pinkness inside it the sausages are cooked)
  2. In a small pot, mix the brown sugar with the cornflour, then stir in the soy sauce, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, and the juice from the tinned pineapple.
  3. Bring the sauce to the boil, stirring all the time, until the sauce turns thick and clear.
  4. Add the sauce to the cooked sausages and add the pineapple pieces.
