Ingredients:
Meatballs:
- 500g beef mince
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 cup fine bread crumbs
- 1 tsp dried tarragon (dill also works well)
- 2 tsp ground allspice
Sauce:
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 cups beef stock
- 3 tsp Dijon mustard (or American mustard)
- 1 tbsp malt vinegar
- 3/4 cup sour cream
Method:
- Combine all meatball ingredients, kneading the mixture ensure everything is thoroughly combined.
- In a large frying pan, fry the onion in a little oil until clear.
- Add the garlic salt and flour, and cooking for one minute while stirring continuously.
- Add the beef stock, mustard, and malt vinegar. Stir to combine.
- Place the meatballs in the sauce. Bring to the boil, and then simmer for 40 minutes.
- Stir in the sour cream, then serve.
Serve with rice, and a green vegetable or coleslaw.
