Ingredients
2 tbsp butter
1 large onion, chopped
450g beef mince
1/2 tsp paprika
2 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp sugar
1 bay leaf
2 cups tomato puree or soup
1/2 tsp oregano
1 & 1/2 cups water
170g spaghetti, broken in to 1/3 or 1/4 lengths
Method
Melt the butter and brown the onion and the mince. Add the other ingredients and bring to the boil.
Cover and simmer gently for 20-30 minutes until spaghetti is just tender, stirring from time to time.
Add some extra tomato puree or water if liquid is too thick. Serve with grated cheese.
