Ingredients

Meatballs

500g beef mince
1 cup bread crumbs (can use finely crushed corn chips)
1 tsp garlic salt
1 egg
1/2 tsp paprika & cumin
grind of black pepper

Sauce

1 red onion, finely chopped
1/8 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp paprika, cumin, turmeric & salt
1 tbsp flour (can use cornflour)
2 cups chicken stock
zest & juice half a lemon


Method

Combine all meatball ingredients together and form into meatballs. Works best by combining the ingredients using your hands.

In a frying pan, fry onion until softened, then add chilli powder, paprika, cumin, turmeric, salt and flour, and cook for 1 minute. Add the chicken stock, the zest and juice of half a lemon. Add the meatballs to the pan, bring to the boil, and then simmer for 40 minutes.

Serve on rice or couscous.
