Ingredients:
- 500g beef mince
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic salt
- grind of black pepper
- burger buns
- filling ingredients – salad vegetables, sliced cheese, pickles, etc
- mayonnaise, tomato sauce, mustard etc
Method:
- Preheat oven to 200°c
- Combine beef mince, bread crumbs, egg, garlic salt, and pepper and knead together using hands. Form into patties then place on a roasting pan, or any baking tray which has raised sides – this is to prevent grease from spilling and creating a mess in the oven.
- Bake the meat patties in the oven for 25 minutes. Test the largest pattie after 25 minutes, cutting it to check that there is no pink meat inside. If pinkness is still present, cook for another five minutes, then check again.
- Place in burger buns, along with the filling ingredients. Spread the buns with mayonnaise, tomato sauce, mustard, etc.
