Ingredients
- 125g butter, softened
- 1 tbsp icing sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 cups flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of cayenne pepper
- grated cheese (I use tasty)
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°c. Grease or line a baking tray.
- Cream the butter and icing sugar, then beat in the egg.
- Sift the flour and baking powder together. Add the flour, grated cheese, and cayenne pepper to the creamed mixture and stir to combine.
- Knead the mixture with your hands to properly mix all the ingredients.
- Roll the dough out thinly on a floured surface, and cut into rounds.
- Bake in the oven for 10 minutes, then allow to rest for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
