Notice is hereby given that the by-election to fill an extraordinary vacancy for the Rimutaka Licensing Trust has been cancelled.

Following the triennial elections, the Rimutaka Licensing Trust was one elected member short of the required number. A by-election process was initiated to fill this vacancy.

The Rimutaka Licensing Trust has since received advice from the Minister of Justice confirming that the Trust may continue to govern for the remainder of the current elected term with fewer than the full number of elected members.

The Trust has resolved to take this option.

As a result, the requirement to hold a by-election is no longer applicable, and the current by-election process has been cancelled.

Upper Hutt City Council administers elections on behalf of the Rimutaka Licensing Trust.
