I attended Anita’s Dance Academy end of year Presentations last Saturday  @9 November .The first half was a ballet ‘ La Boutique Fantasque ‘ – a toy maker story, followed by Game On which was a variety show all about Games. 

This is the first time I have attended the end of year recital and was impressed by the performers, ranging in age from preschoolers to Senior students. 

The hard  work and dedication by Anita and her teachers was highlighted in a very professional production.

Thanks must also go to Peter Venner and his team at Whirinaki whare Taonga.  The specially sprung floor in the theatre makes it an ideal location for such presentations showing ballet, jazz, hip hip, and  tap.

There were three performances throughout the day  – 11am, 3pm, 7pm .  It is a real credit to Upper Hutt to have Anita’s Dance Academy playing such an import role in the community.  It was good to see the event supported by creative Communities Upper Hutt.
