Pest Free Upper Hutt: Our Vision – Flourishing native environment in Upper Hutt

Pest Free Upper Hutt

Next Saturday, 31 October 2026 10am to 3pm

Mangaroa Farms’ Spring Festival at 98 Whitemans Valley Road

Pest Free Upper Hutt will share a stall at the Festival with Forest & Bird Upper Hutt branch. If you are in the area we would love to see you. Drop by, check out the Spring Festival and have a chat! Tell us how well the birds, skinks and geckos etc are doing in your neighbourhood and what we can do to help.

We will have children-friendly activities at our stall.

We are keen to chat about how we can work together to bring back the birdsong throughout Upper Hutt. This includes lowering the number of introduced pests and restoring habitat in critical areas.

Did you know there are endangered Lesser Short-tailed bats and North Island brown kiwi on the fringes of Upper Hutt?

How can you help?

You can help with

  • Planting days & evenings
  • Activities at the native tree nursery (the Shade House)
  • Servicing trap lines
  • Having a rat trap in your backyard

Would you like to help?
