Birchville Park and the adjacent Birchville wildlife area is a great place to take the kids for picnic, a play on the equipment and a short loop nature walk in the wildlife area which was recently planted out by Forest & Bird. This little gem of an area is right beside SH2 Gemstone/Emerald Hill. Turn left at Topaz Street, then first left into Pearl Grove.
