Here’s the latest on the works to line an aging wastewater pipe underneath SH2 Melling:

All four liners have now been successfully pulled and cured!

The team have worked really hard over the long weekend in some terrible conditions, because of this we are well on track to complete the programme of work as planned.

The weather is looking good for the next few days and the crews will be taking full advantage of this to keep the momentum going. The final work to be completed is the reinstatement of manholes and the surrounding road surface.

The traffic management set up will be packed up by this Sunday evening April 27.

We’ve been making every effort to minimise disruptions as much as possible, so a huge thank you to impacted Western Hills residents and road users for your patience and understanding!

With only a few days to go please continue to be patient and use alternative routes where possible. Fortunately, traffic delays have been minimal over the last few days, we ask drivers to please continue to follow speed restrictions for the safety of our crews.
