The “Last Night of the Proms” held at Whirinaki Expressions on Saturday night was a wonderful event featuring the Upper Hutt Brass Band and The Hutt Valley Singers, along with local artists and soloists. There was enthusiastic audience participation as the evening unfolded and favourite songs were sung. The talent on display was impressive, and the connection between the audience and the performers was personable. Such was the success of the evening that future events are very likely, possibly with the need to schedule more performances.
