The Searchers, who performed at Harcourt Park when Paul Lambert was the City Promotion Manager at Upper Hutt City Council, are now performing the final concert of their career at Glastonbury in the UK on the 27th of June.
The Searchers started as a skiffle band in Liverpool in 1959, predating The Beatles, The Who, and The Rolling Stones. They ceased creating hits after the late 1960’s but have performed regularly ever since.
A “thank you” to Paul for requesting that this article be put up on The Upper Hutt Connection.
