With 4 branches across Aotearoa, Riders Against Cancer (RAC) out there making a difference. They are a supportive group who ride  and run events to raise funds for cancer related causes. Riders Against Cancers main objective is to raise funds for cancer related causes, and help to ease that burden wherever possible. 

RAC  combines a love of motorcycles and riding, socialising with other like minded people with a desire to raise money for the local Cancer society to help those on their cancer journey

The Wellignton branch was started in 2004 with 7 members and has grown to over 50 strong. They ride every Sunday (weather permitting) to a cafe or restaurant for a meal together and socialising, you don’t have to be a member to come along. 

The rides are “sensible rides”, certainly not hard out, and welcome all riders and all bikes. 

They  have created a strong core group that has become friends through our shared interest in bikes and the cancer cause. Many  members have cancer stories of their own  and happy to share and offer support. But like most kiwis,  almost all members know someone that has lived a cancer journey.

All money raised from the show-n-shine goes to the Wellington Cancer Society, and is earmarked for a a project that will directly benefit those on a cancer journey. 

Our first annual Show-n-Shine event will be in the Brewtown Greenspace, Sunday 11th October from 10 till around 12.

Riders Against Cancer would love as many of the rider community to come along to make the Show-n-Shine event a huge success and show to the public what we do. But don’t just go along, register  and put your bike in the event (Pre-registration is only $25, or register on the day for $30 ), you might just go home with a trophy for best bike , and even if you don’t you can go knowing you’re helping those with cancer.

It is a great opportunity for the public to get up close to bikes of all types, so come along and have a look, plenty to see and free admittance.
