Upper Hutt residents are invited to help shape the city’s parks, reserves, sportsgrounds, playgrounds, rivers and recreation spaces for the next 30 years.
Council is developing a new Open Spaces Strategy for 2027–2057 and wants to hear what the community values, what could be improved and what is missing.
Feedback is being sought before the first draft is written, with residents, sports clubs, schools and other stakeholders encouraged to take part.
People can read the engagement document, complete an online survey and drop pins on an interactive map to share location-specific feedback.
Have your say at https://letskorero.upperhutt.govt.nz/our-open-spaces by 12pm, 7 December.
The feedback will help inform the strategy’s direction and priorities for how Council plans, manages and invests in open spaces over the next 30 years.
Formal consultation of the drafted strategy will be held early next year.
