Spring has sprung at Staglands Wildlife Reserve, and these school holidays are the perfect time to get the whānau outdoors and meet some of the reserve’s newest and cutest residents.

From 26 September to 11 October, families can explore the reserve, take part in the Staglands Treasure Hunt, and get up close to a host of spring babies including their adorable Arapawa kid goat quadruplets.

Born in August, these four cheeky kids are already winning hearts as they explore their surroundings and keep their mum, Pippa, on her toes.

There’s plenty more to discover throughout the holidays, including off-road tractor trailer rides and the popular 12.30pm Ranger-led lunchtime feed tour, where visitors can meet some of the animals and learn more about life at Staglands.

After exploring, visitors can take a break at the Staglands Café, enjoying fresh coffee, homemade treats and lunch while taking in the beautiful Akatarawa Valley views.

And don’t forget to stop by the Gift Shop, where you’ll find a range of fun and unique souvenirs, gifts, toys, books and animal-inspired goodies perfect for taking a little piece of Staglands home with you.

Put your exploring skills to the test with the Staglands Treasure Hunt. Find the clues around the reserve, discover some of Staglands’ special spots and unscramble the answers to reveal the secret word. Every correct entry wins a prize and with more than $20,000 worth of prizes up for grabs this one is not to be missed!

Treasure Hunt sheets are available from the Ticket Gate when you arrive.
