A quick update for those who use the Black Beech Pathway: the track will be temporarily closed from 18 November 2025 – 18 December 2025, while essential construction work takes place to keep the area safe.
Recent inspections showed parts of the riverbank have eroded, making the ground beside the pathway unstable, especially after heavy rain. Because the track is narrow and sits right on the river’s edge, there isn’t enough space to keep it safely open while crews and machinery are working.
Thanks for your patience, we know it’s inconvenient, but safety has to come first.
Once finished, the upgraded pathway will be safer, stronger, and ready for everyone to enjoy again. Thanks for bearing with us!
