An update on the capacity upgrades at Te Mārua Water Treatment Plant

We’re moving forward at pace with the capacity upgrades at the Te Mārua Water Treatment Plant.

A big part of that is installing a new Digital Air Flotation (DAF) plant, which uses air bubble flotation to remove suspended solids, oils, and other contaminants from raw water.

The DAF will be put into operation in three stages, each stage adding 20 million litres of drinking water per day to the water treatment plant’s capacity. The team is on track to complete the first stage this November!
