Visiting Kaitoke Regional Park in Upper Hutt just got a little smooooother.
The carpark at the Pākuratahi River, just beyond the campground, has been resurfaced. This improves access to the Pākuratahi River Walk, which connects to Rivendell and the Swingbridge Track.
Tucked in the Upper Hutt Valley with beautiful old-growth rainforest, Kaitoke Regional Park is one of Greater Wellington’s most popular destinations. It offers native forest walks, swimming spots, camping, and amazing river scenery.
This upgraded carpark, and all of the excellent maintenance and improvement works our teams carryout, help visitors enjoy easy access to our much loved park, particularly during busy holiday and summer times when carparking is stretched.
Are you visiting Kaitoke this summer?
