Upper Hutt man, Ronald Leonard Ford has been sentenced to one year of home detention and has been ordered to register as a sex offender.

Authorities searched his home in August 2023, and seized nine USB drives and three hard drives. Forensic searching found over 45,000 child sexual exploitation images and videos.

All electronic devices used in the offending have been ordered to be destroyed.
