It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of one of our long-time club members from the Upper Hutt Hockey Club. Casey O’Leary.

Casey played for the club for multiple years, was a committee member for many years as well, and whilst on the committee, she used to write a monthly newsletter (she may have been the first to write regular newsletters). Even when she stopped playing, she was still a big part of the club, and you would often see her behind the camera at games and at prizegiving. She was looking forward to attending the 50th anniversary celebrations.

Our thoughts are with Casey’s family at this time, and as a hockey club, we will identify how best to honour Casey and her time with us this weekend.
