Location: Upper Hutt City Council Civic Building, 838 – 842 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt
Each year on Anzac Day, the Upper Hutt community gathers at dawn to remember the courage, sacrifice, and service of those who served our country.
As the first light of day appears, people from across the community come together in quiet reflection — veterans, families, young people, and residents standing side by side. The Dawn Service is a powerful moment of shared remembrance, honouring those who never returned home and recognising the service of those who continue to serve today.
Attending the Dawn Service is a meaningful way to pause, reflect, and acknowledge the sacrifices that helped shape the freedoms we enjoy today. For many families it is a tradition passed from generation to generation, ensuring that the stories of service, courage, and sacrifice are never forgotten.
Everyone in the community is warmly invited to attend and take part in this important act of remembrance.
