Explore, play, create
U-PLAY returns with an action-packed timetable this spring! With the days slowly getting warmer and longer, it’s a fantastic time to be out and about across Upper Hutt enjoying our parks and green spaces, and to explore what’s on in the city.
These school holidays, our line-up of free and low-cost events includes plenty of active fun with have-a-go roller skating, community pickleball sessions, a whole day of a biking, plus a chance to tee off on the green at Royal Wellington Golf Club.
We have also teamed up again with local makers and creatives, Dawn Duthie and The Potters’ Roost. Join us for sticker-making, painting, working with clay, and creating festive decorations to support The Community Christmas Project!
Take your creativity and imagination up a notch over at Whirinaki Whare Taonga with poi making, face painting, special effects makeup, and the best family night out during the holidays at Sonic Boom.
Over at Upper Hutt Libraries, we’re looking at Volcanoes, Fossils & More with Earth Sciences New Zealand, learning all about making pet safe toys, and getting creative with a whole bag of mystery craft goodies.
