Upper Hutt Food Week is here! It’s a whole week dedicated to celebrating mouthwatering local food, the people behind it, and our community. From meeting growers and makers to hands-on workshops and delicious experiences, it’s all about supporting local and connecting over great kai, and 4 A Better City are so proud to be part of it.
Upper Hutt Food Week is on now until Sunday 29 March, with something for everyone including our Kai Kart Summer Market happening next Saturday 28 March!
So why are we running a market? Because giving back is at the heart of what we do.
We’re creating a free, welcoming space for local people to share and sell their products.
- 22 Lane Street (opposite our Kai Kart)
- 9am – 2pm
Bring the whānau along for a great day out! There’ll be:
- Games for the kids
- A special appearance from Magic Martin – a favourite local magician who will have audiences laughing, amazed, and completely captivated
FREE Urban farm tour!
Curious about regenerative growing or keen to explore our urban farm?
We’ll be running free tours of Mahinga Kai throughout the day. See how we grow food for local marae, and food co-ops, and pick up practical tips to help to successfully grow your own spray-free herbs and veggies at home.
Come for a great day out with yummy kai and leave inspired.
