
- Where: Valley View Road – off Totara Park Road.
- Access: After crossing the Totara Park Bridge immediately turn left. After 50m turn left again to the metalled road that runs adjacent to the Hutt River. The gate should be open from 8:45am. From the gate to the parking area is about 900m.
- Speed Limit: 20km/hr as this is a popular area for dog walkers, cyclists, horse riders and walkers. Please park on the Hutt River side of the road.
What we’re doing: Planting trees and wetland plants on the northern bank of the Haukaretu Stream between the stream and the logging road.
What to bring: Planting spades and gardening gloves. We will have some spare spades. There are a few stones.
Refreshments provided.
Postponement. We will try to give you as much warning as possible and will send out an email if we decide to postpone. We may decide to plant if only a little rain is forecast.
