Get ready for a little Christmas magic as the Upper Hutt Santa Parade returns to the streets of Upper Hutt.

This year, we’re stepping into A Fairytale Christmas – a world of enchanted castles, magical forests, classic fairytale characters and festive fantasy. Bring the whole family, find your spot along the parade route and get ready to see Upper Hutt transformed into a Christmas wonderland.

Admission is free.

We’re inviting businesses, community groups, schools, clubs, and organisations to enter a parade entry in this year’s Santa Parade.

2026 theme: A Fairytale Christmas

From enchanted castles and magical forests to classic fairytale characters and festive fantasy worlds, bring your favourite fairytale to life.

You could take inspiration from classic fairytale like Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Dorothy and the Wizard, Snow White, Peter Pan, or more.

Whether your entry is spectacular or whimsical, we can’t wait to see your imagination on display.

Entry registrations are open from 10 September to 27 October 2026.

An official registration form must be completed for each parade entry. We will not be accepting registration via email enquiries. If you are entering more than one entry, please complete a registration form for each of your parade entries.
