Our garage sale was held over the weekend of 22/23rd November, with the weather being kind to us and was a huge success raising over $3000 for the Menzshed. We would like to thank everyone who came along, picked up some bargains along the way and contributed to our funds.

John S was the main organiser of the event and although many other members were involved, but without John’s enthusiasm and drive, the event would not have been such a success. Many hours of sorting, labelling and sign making were needed for the event – so well done John and his team! 

In the next few weeks we will be relocating the garage to it’s new location before setting up as a wood turning area.

This small toddler’s chalkboard top table and chairs was preloved by Lindsay’s children. Lindsay upgraded the items with a lick of paint and now another member’s grandchildren have the pleasure of owning them. Good Job Lindsay!

Occasionally we get some job that is a little unique which requires a mixture of skill and ingenuity to deliver a suitable solution. The request came in – can you fix my broken milkshake machine? Stepping up to the challenge came Keiron, who replaced all the broken holder clips (formerly plastic) with stainless steel and also fixed a few other faults (including a hidden burnt switch). The customer was suitably impressed and gave us a generous donation for the time and effort that Keiron had put in. Well done Keiron!

With many members being involved in getting the garage sale up and running, we were not able to complete many other projects in the last few weeks. We have several projects waiting to start but Peter did manage to complete a replacement top for an outside table for a customer.

Good Job Peter – looks just like new!
