As the year comes to an end we can look back and review our progress in establishing our site and the many projects we have completed. We finally managed to get our building consent, 3 years after applying, and spending way too much in the process. Fortunately, we had some dependable supporters and funders who helped us along the way, so a big thank you to them all.
So, what are our next steps? Well, we will be moving the donated garage to its new pad early in the New Year and following up with the quotes we have received for our metal working facility. We haven’t enough funds to start the project as yet, as we need to ensure we have the resources to complete the job once started. It will be a staged process, foundations, then kitset building purchase and finally assembly. We had thought to assemble the building ourselves, but we are opting for the safer option of someone else doing this. The final fit out of the building, we can do, along with the electrical installation and connection to the soak pit for stormwater.
We are still working hard on recycling IT and other electrical/electronic equipment to provide an income and save items going to landfill. We have a dedicated crew led by Phil G and Peter who do a sterling job to convert redundant items into metal waste streams which we can sell to scrap merchants. So keep up the good work guys!
Community projects are still coming in with several from local kindy’s, the Community and a church. Below Curtis proudly sitting on the church benches Doug and himself made, two chairs refurbished by Peter and a decorative stag with a broken horn, repaired by Doug.

Finally we would like to wish all our supporters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to seeing you next year.
